My Little Drawing Buddy
I love to doodle. I find myself drawing whether on a scrap paper or on the computer. When writing blog posts becomes too tedious, I find myself always doodling. So hubby gave me something last Christmas – A Wacom Bamboo Pen Tablet. I love it to bits!
Sure, it takes time to get used to it. But if you like drawing or you tinker a lot in Illustrator or Photoshop or other art software, the graphic tablet sure comes in very handy. I can create a lot more detailed stuff and specially when using the lasso tool or eraser in Photoshop, I find I could control the pen much much more than the mouse. So the resulting work is cleaner. IMO, hubby’s $60 was definitely well spent. Grab it from here.
Right now I’m still trying to learn how to use it and I’m experimenting on different pressures you can use to adjust the thickness of the lines you are drawing. I’m also loving the fact that the tablet came with a licensed Corel Painter Essentials and I kinda like drawing there. It’s easier, more lightweight than Illustrator and even my daughter likes playing around with it.
I think this just might prompt me to seriously study Adobe Illustrator. Right now I can do very basic stuff with AI but I really really want to learn drawing vectors and I think I just found the tool to help me.
